Electronic precision scale for measuring up small things.
Scale technical details:
- Measuring range:
- 0-100g (works also from -100...0g, but even this way the 100g deviation is max)
- Error +/-:
- 1mg
- Readability:
- 0,001g
- 1mg
- 0,0001oz
- 0,001dwt
- 0,005ct
- 0,02gn
- 0,0001tl
- Measuring units:
- g (grams)
- mg (milligram)
- oz (ounce)
- dwt (pennyweight)
- ct (carat)
- gn (grain)
- tl (tael)
- Calibration weight:
- 100g
- Weighing pan diameter:
- 52mm
- Operating temperature:
- 10...30°C (do not subject it to 300°C which the manual states it's capable of handling!)
- Operating voltage:
- 3VDC (2x 1,5V AAA batteries)
- 5VDC USB micro
- I/O
- 1x USB, but it is solely for delivering power to scale... Yes we have opened ours and confirmed sure it's just for powering up the unit (there is no USB data wires present at all and the IC on the board is an epoxy blob IC).
- Comes with:
- USB A - Micro cable
- 100g calibration weight
- Little plastic pan
- Small plastic tweezers
- Button descriptions (from left to right):
- Power ON/OFF (Scale has 3min timer for automatic power off)
- M, Mode button = Cycles through different measuring units
- P, pcs button = Used for quantity counting.
- Works by pressing down the "P" button until 25 is displayed and PCS is flashing.
- Use "M" button to set the quantity of the items you have in bowl and load the items into scale
- 25pcs
- 50pcs
- 75pcs
- 100pcs
- Confirm by pressing "P" and the scale now shows how many unit you have on the tray.
- Exiting the pcs mode can be done by pressing "M" button or turning the unit off.
- By going back to pcs mode with a shot press of a "P" button will resume the pcs measurement with previous settings you used with it the last time.
- As a tip, if you are measuring just a couple of items, place one on the scale, set the quantity to 100, and as an example by placing 5pcs of these in the scale it reads 500, forget the two trailing zeros and there's your quantity of items on the plate.
- T, tare button = Zero readout. Handy if you want to measure differential weight when adding things on top of the plate.
- Calibration:
- Turn the unit on and preferably let it warm up to the ambient air for a minute or two.
- After unit shows 0.000g (or measurement in general) hold "M" (mode) key as long as display shows the required calibration weight ie 100.000g.
- Press "M" button again and "CAL" will flash following by the weight.
- Place the 100g calibration weight on the center of the pan
- Display will show "PASS" and return to normal state
- Restart the scale and confirm that the scale measures 100g with that 100g weight. If result differs, redo the calibration.
- Error codes:
- LO or 88888 or nothing happens = Low battery voltage, change batteries
- OUT2 = recalibrate the scale
- EEEEE = Stop torturing the scale and measure smaller weight (weight overload)
- LLLLLL = The load cell sends out too low value, which can be caused by a physical damage to internal leads or by miscalibration (in order to repair, first try recalibration. if that does not do the trick, check internal wiring and as a last resort get a replacement load cell, if unable to fix it).
- UNST = Use scale on level surface (the load readout is not stable enough to be trusted)
