Eclipse magnetic transfer block 75x30x60mm

Workpieces which have an underside projection may require support above the chuck face. Other workpieces may need supporting on an inside or side face. For such applications, chuck blocks should be used to extend the flux paths of a magnetic chuck with parallel poles. They may be used horizontally or vertically, but the laminations must always be placed in line with the inner poles on the chuck top plate. It is permissible to machine chuck blocks to an angle or with grooves to accept irregular shaped workpieces, one may even machine a jig out of these for very complex shaped object to ease up machining on the final product.

In layman's terms this cube is not a magnet, but when used with magnet it will extend the grip of that magnet through it. It acts as an magnetic extender.
