Lab power supply is the best thing you need in your lab, workshop, desk, garage, bedroom or which ever is the place where your magic happens. In general lab power supply is by nature adjustable power supply, which typically allows for output voltage and max current adjustment. In addition to the adjustment many of them also display the current values of those. Lab power supplies should withstand over loads and short circuit by nature... which commonly occur when testing devices. Short circuit cause might be user.exe or broken-device.dll. In other words occasionally the reason for short circuit is user's fault and occasionally it's because of broken appliance being tested.
We can recommend this model out of our own experience. We have two of these units as our daily power supplies and we have been abusing them a LOT!... And they still refuse to break down. We have been using them at max currents for hours and hours (actually melted our alligator clips plastic parts upon doing this) for charging big battery, we've diagnosed numerous short circuited devices with them, we have fooled around with loose wires and shorted them, we have even used this power supply to fool a relatively large 36V battery charger to think there is a battery and start the charging cycle which results in spiking the power supply with about 45V and potentially up to 45A current (limited by leads, connectors and short time when plug is pulled out manually)... And our units are still live, but due to the silent nature of a power supply they are unable to tell the tale themself.
In February 2025 we did finally manage to break our own unit (we fed voltage from 18V litium battery in reverse into it). As a result a 1N5408 diode was blown short (output was shorted). After changing this diode everything works again.

- Indication:
- Red LED's for various functions
- Red 7-segment LED displays for voltage and current measurement
- Internal beeper for key strokes, functions and errors (can be muted from front panel)
- Memory presets:
- 4x presets (M1, M2, M3, M4)
- Set your voltage and current values and do a long press on the desired preset memory button. To recall the values just a short push on the same button
- Other features:
- Lock = Locks the front panel for accidental tampering
- OCP = Over current protection. If current limit is reached it will disable the output
- OVP = Over voltage protection. If voltage goes over the set voltage it will disable the output (say a charger decides to feed current into the power supply)
- SER/INDEP = Serial / independent operation mode. In serial mode the power supply connects internally in series mode. Right power supply side controls both power supplies and the outputs are connected in series (0-60VDC 0-5A). Connect + into left power supply + and - in right power supply -. Output voltage = Voltage readout x2.
- PARA/INDEP = Parallel / independent operation mode. In parallel mode the power supply connects internally in parallel mode. Right power supply side controls both and the outputs are connected in parallel (0-30VDC 0-10A). Output current = Current readout x2.
- Voltage and current adjustment:
- Press voltage/current button once and a number in voltage starts flashing. Use the jog wheel to adjust the number and use arrow keys to move left and right on the desired number you want to adjust. Pressing the voltage/current adjustment button again and a number in current section starts flashing. For adjusting use same ideology as with voltage.
- Adjustment mode exits by pressing something else or if it times out in a couple of seconds.
- While adjusting you will see the adjusting values and not what the output currently is!
- Adjustment can be done with output disabled or enabled.
