Switching-mode power supply (also known as switched-mode power supply, SMPS) is very commonly used type of power supply. SMPS is perfectly suited for various situations where even a bit more power is needed, but the power supply weight must be minimal. Switching-mode power supplies usually have without exception a wide operating voltage (typically 100...240VAC) and they accept 50Hz and 60Hz electricity.

This power supply manufactured by Mean Well is quite a small package. Tight industrial grade aluminium housing with passive cooling makes no noise at all, even if the loads are up to the max. Power supply has overload protection, short circuit protection, over temperature protection, three screw terminals for plus and other three for minus (eases up connection if there is multiple wires to feed). Output voltage presence is signaled by green LED. If you require voltage finetuning, then that can be done with the help of a small trimmer pot and it can be adjusted between 10...13.2VDC. Power supply has also built-in active (PFC) power factor correction circuitry.

The chassis has a decent amount of rigging points from the point of mounting:
