M6x1, RH, zinc plated steel impact nut

Impact nut, tee-nut, thread insert, pronged tee nut or someone may call these flanged spiked nut’s as well. With this you will get a thread into wood, plastic or in nearly any other similar soft material. First drill a pilot hole, which depending on the material can be left slightly tight, position nut into place, give it some fine tuning sledge hammer treatment and installation is finished. Impact nut fits well in places which require machine screw threads due to a constant adjustment and on the other hand wood threads will simply not endure that.
