LED lamp, which is suitable to use everywhere where is a lamps equipped with GU10 sockets. Because of it’s extremely wide 120° beam angle this lamp is a tough candidate for general lighting. So this light does not suit well for highlighting a small details. Light output matches over 50W halogen spot lamp, but for example instead of 50W it does only take 7W. What goes for operating life, the manufacturer states over 50000h of operating life for them. Halogen lights reach typically a couple of thousand operating hours.

These lamps use latest COB LED technology. COB stands for Chips On Board technology which means, that light engine substrate is packed with several LED’s and LED’s are covered with fluorescent substance. This construction will allow for good thermal conductivity (LED’s cool better = longer service life), typically a ceramic compound that does not have thermal expansion is used as a substrate (which results in that the substrate mounted components does not take damage the reciprocal movement in long run) and when the light is turned on light source appears to look like it is a one single uniformly lit surface. COB LED’s one and single light source eliminates the zebra shadow problem, ie the situation where an object in the lamp’s beam of light will create multiple shadows (compare to the light of, for example, a lamp made out from several separate LED’s).

Lamp’s operating voltage range is 85...265VAC and because of that it will work all around the world. Because of power supply’s large operating voltage capability this lamp can not be dimmed with voltage adjustment or PWM control! If you want to dim this you need to either:

A) Change a different type of power supply for the lamp

B) Buy a dimmable LED lamp (which already has dimmer compatible power supply in it)
