Multipurpose automatic fuse for DIN rail mounting. Automatic circuit breaker can be used in various application such as:

RCD or Residual-Curren Device monitors the amount of current passing through the phase wire and compares it with the current returning through neutral wire. If the RCD senses up to a 30mA difference between those two it means, that electricity has "leaked somewhere". Leakage in this case can mean that for example an appliance chassis has been damaged and the internal electrified parts touch the grounded chassis. Other reasons for tripping the RCD might be breaking of electrical motor's copper winding and "leakage" into the chassis or person touching an electrified parts, which results in electricity going through the person to the ground. If you have some certain devices which feature naturally large leakage currents as normal operation, such as large electrical motors or some certain electrical testers, then those can't be used with an RCD nor it is needed, but most likely the user/owner already knows this.

Residual-current devices protective function is based on the fact, that during electrocution human gets max 30mA current through him and it is being turned off in less than 300ms. This way we can avoid personal injuries.
