Film capacitors offer excellent stability and low loss across their entire operating range. They are mainly used in AC and DC filter circuits, power and signal applications, and other situations where precise and reliable capacitance is required. Film capacitors are typically metallized polypropylene (MKP) or polyester film types, and they are also well suited for high-frequency and pulse circuits due to their high mechanical strength and low loss.
