The compensation capacitor can be found in the vicinity of a large inductive load or from an electrical cabinet supplying it, or at the latest from a electrical cabinet supplying the property. The compensation capacitor compensates for the reactive reactive power caused by inductive loads, i.e. power that does nothing but loads the electrical network. The consumer is not sanctioned for this, but industry and commercial real estate get their share of these from the power company... And usually even progressively. Compensation capacitors usually have a stated amount of VAR that it can compensate from the network. Note that if you compensate for the inductive reactive power too much then you will succeed in creating capacitive reactive power. So moderation here too. The right compensation capacitor can either be calculated, measured or tested and measured. We suggest the first two options.
